Company Overview
Caldwell Corporation is a precision machining and contract manufacturer that specializes in CNC milling/turning of close-tolerance components, short/medium runs of metal and plastic parts, precision grinding, fabrication and welding of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastic, and more.
Company History
Caldwell Machining was founded by Joseph L. Caldwell and his son Tom Caldwell in 1987 in Emporium, PA. Starting out renting a small space and working with only one CNC mill, Joseph and Tom later relocated to Sykesville, PA in 1988 to expand on their business. For 3 years, Caldwell Machining would continue to serve local industries and add additional employees to their team. In 1991, when North American Philips closed their operation in Emporium, PA, Joseph successfully negotiated the purchase of the facility, all machinery, and equipment from Philips. Caldwell Machining relocated once more back to where they began in Emporium, PA, and where they have remained for 30 years. In 1993, Caldwell Machining changed their name to Caldwell Corporation. Since then, they have added to their arsenal of manufacturing capabilities and hired additional employees to make up the team we have today. Caldwell is now joined by a third generation, Joe Caldwell (Tom’s son), ensuring Caldwell Corporation is a family-owned-and-operated business for many years to come.
